You must sign up for check alert every year. It's not a one time thing.
There will be a "Cookie Money" checking account at Twin City Bank. We are to deposit all cookie money into that account and not into our troop account. Troops will be refunded their profit after all money is accounted for. Troops can pick up deposit slips at the Star Barn on Feb 17th. Beth suggests that we do an individual deposit for each girl. More info coming via e-mail.
Cookie pick-up at the Starr Barn as in previous years. Those who can help please be there around 9:00am. Dress appropriately for the weather and in layers. If you have a sturdy rolling dolly, please bring it with you.
For booth sales, it is recommended that you have approx. 10 cases for a 2-3 hour sale. Samoas, Thin Mints, and Trefoils have traditionally been the best selers. Signs are available if anyone needs them.

Jane - Reminders:
March 6 is Girl Scout Sunday - if your troop meets at a church, it might be nice to attend that church and sit together in uniform.
March 6-12 is Girl Scout week.
April 9 is the annual meeting. This year it will be at 3pm instead of in the morning. Let Jane know if you would like to attend and the service unit will cover the cost. More details to follow.
We will not meet next month because our meeting would fall on Valentine's Day. If you have any fliers or information to get out, they can be passed out on the 17th at the Starr Barn.
Let Jane know if you are eligible for a tenure pin this year. Pins are given out for every 5 years of involvement with Girl Scouting. Pins for 20 years or more will be presented at the annual meeting.

Purple Team - Pat - Father Daughter Bowling
Will be Saturday Feb. 5th from 12-2 or from 2-4 ( You can choose either time when you sign up) at Professor Bowl west off of Rodney Parham.
Cost is $7/person and includes bowling, shoe rental, one drink and a patch. Girls should be sure to wear socks, and should wear tennis shoes in case all shoes their size are in use.
Digital pictures will be available for a fee.
There will be door prizes.
Deadline for sign-up is Jan. 26th and a flier will be sent out by e-mail.

Green Team - Hope - Birthday in a Bag
Will be Friday, March 11 from 7-9pm at Trinity Methodist in the Fellowship Hall.
This is a service project for the Rice Depot. We will be filling bags with thinngs to bake a cake.
Each girl should bring a cake mix, frosting, candles, paper plates or napkins, and your troop should be sure to have all these items covered.
There may be a $1 fee to cover the patch.
A flier will be e-mailed and will be available at the Star Barn on Feb. 17th.
Deadline to sign up is March 1.
Blue Team - Regina - Taster's Tea
Will be Saturday, April 16 from 2-5pm at College Station Elementary School.
Each troop that participates will represent a country and will have a table to decorate and will need to provide food (sample sizes, not full sizes) for 150-200 people.
Skits can be performed on the stage in the cafeteria where we will be.
Troops do not have to participate to attend.
There will be a $3 charge per attendee/participant to cover patches, drinks, awards, etc. More information to follow.
Jane - Bridging event
Cindy Allen has co-ordinated this in the past. This year it will be a group effort with each team responsible for part of the event.
Jane will contact 2nd Presbyterian about using the building on May 16.
We will allow girls who sell > 450 boxes of cookies to choose whether to receive their award at the Bridging ceremony or at the May Leader's Meeting the week before.
