Rambling Heights Service Unit

All troops participating in the Fall Sale need to turn in parent permission slips and Leader Agreement forms to Debbie ASAP.

  • On-Time patches are in and ready for pickup.
  • Cookies - The selling price for cookies this year will be $3.50 a box. If you participate in the fall sale you will get an additional $.05 profit per box of cookies you sell. Also, if your cookies sales are at least 15% more than last year, you get an additional $.05 profit.  Troops must have the bank cards and financial reports turned in by December 1st in order to participate in cookie sales.
  • Gift Shop - The new gift shop owned by Girl Scouts of Ouachita Council, "Gifts of Arkansas," is now open. The shop is located at Markham and Scott streets in downtown Little Rock. All profits go to Girl Scouts. You will receive a 5% discount off your purchase with your Girl Scout membership card.
  • Volunteer Staff meetings will now be called "Town Hall Meetings." The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, October 29th, from 10AM to 12Noon, at the Faulkner Program Center in Conway. Lunch will be served.
  • Email Blast - If you would like to receive council information by email, you can receive the Ouachita E-mail Blast. Go to the council website at www.gsocar.org. On the home page, you will find a link to join the council database of email addresses.
  • Tax Forms are available for your use. These forms can be used when you purchase items or services for your troop to exempt the troop from sales taxes. You must pay for your purchase with a troop or council check, with two signatures.
  • Girl Scout Insurance - Remember to register your troop before your first meeting so the troop is covered under the Girl Scout Insurance.
  • New Minimum Age Requirement - Beginning next year, four year old girls will not be allowed to register for scouting. The beginning age will be 5 years old.
  • Planning Troop Trip Home Study Books are available. See Jane.
  • Girls still looking for troops - There are girls still looking for troops to join. If you have space in your troop and would like to add one or more girls, please let Jane know.
  • New name tags were created to reflect the current troop enrollment in our service unit. All troops are in a "color coded team." The Green team is led by Hope Mullins, the Blue team leaders are Regina Bourland and Liz Mooney, and the Purple team leaders are Pat Page and Debbie Carreiro. Remember which team you are on.
